Project Specification:

The Vdara is a condo hotel with spa and is part of City Center, located between the ARIA Resort and Casino and the Bellagio Hotel Las Vegas. Vdara’s 57 story tower houses 1,495 residential units, ranging from 526 to 1,750 square feet. The ARIA Resort Hotel and Casino Las Vegas, is City Center’s central feature. Within the 61 story, two curvilinear glass towers house 4,004 rooms (including 568 suites) totaling 4,000,000 square feet. At its base is a 150,000 square foot casino, the first in Las Vegas that allows a substantial amount of natural light and a three story lobby that uses natural materials including lush foliage, wood, and stone. The Platipus Deadman and Rootball Fixing Systems were installed in the fall of 2009, and used on all palm trees surrounding pool decks, walking areas, and common areas.

Solution:

Tree Anchor System: Deadman Fixing System and Rootball Fixing System RF1RDMP - 3 x wire chokes, 10' x 3mm galvanized cable, 1 ratchet tensioner, and 3 x Plati-Mats. RF2RDMP - Same as above but with 16' x 4mm galvanized cable. RF2P - 3 x S61 anchors, 16' x 4mm galvanized cable, 1 ratchet tensioner, and 3 x Plati-Mats. RF3P - 3 x S81 anchors, 23' x 6mm galvanized cable, 1 ratchet tensioner, and 3 x Plati-Mats.
